Artificial Intelligence has become a part of everyday life. Most of us interact with AI on a daily basis without giving it a second thought. Whether using Siri or Google Assistant, Net ix or Amazon Alexa, AI has become a component of many products and services we use regularly. But where is it really impacting us and what does the future hold?
The objective of this event is to give some insight into where AI has come from, how it impacts us today and the near-term future of AI as it relates to everyday life, to government and to healthcare.
This event brings together a panel of local experts from NI companies and universities who are using AI as part of their business in a range or areas.
The panel consists of:
Dr Austin Tanney - Head of AI at Kainos, Founder and organiser of the AINI group and facilitator of the Northern Ireland AI collaborative network.
Dr Tim Davison - CTO of BrainwaveBank
Dr Jaine Blayney - Bioinformatician at the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology
Daniel Crawford - CEO and founder of Axial3D.
After an initial lightning tour of the history of Artificial Intelligence, the panel will focus on their own experience in developing and using AI.
