Slime School (S-Team Takeover Day)

Join our mad scientists to make your own Flubber & magnetic slime at this slimetastic event before watching everyone’s favourite slime, Flubber (U). All participants will receive a Slime School Certificate and get to take their crazy creations home! If you’re brave enough to come dressed as a mad professor yourself, we’ll give a prize for the craziest hair style of the day! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The S-Team Takeover Initiative is a pilot event for the 2019 Festival as part of the Year of Youth. Through this initiative, a team of young people (aged 16 – 24) were tasked with curating an entire day of Science Festival activity. The scheme provides young people with skills in science and event management, helping them to gain confidence, team building and management skills. There are three events happening as part of this initiative.
