The Science, Clumsiness and Luck of Discovery

£5

Science isn’t always as careful and meticulous as you’d imagine. Many of the most important discoveries in science have been made by clumsiness, accident or dumb luck, from the microwave to nylon, via Velcro, jet streams and Viagra. This demonstration-filled session with Professor Adam Hart and the Cheltenham Science Group will measure the speed of light, create the 4th state of matter and go out with a bang to show just how important accidental genius has been in modern science.
