Professor Amy Brown will join the Breastival team to explore why NI has such low breastfeeding rates, why it should matter to everyone and what you can do about it.

Amy Brown, author of ‘Breastfeeding Uncovered’ and ‘The Positive Breastfeeding Book’ is a professor of child health at the University of Swansea. Her research explores social attitudes toward breastfeeding and early infant nutrition. A popular and engaging speaker, Amy aims to unpick the myths about breastfeeding and focus on wider society and how we can all make the healthier choice the easiest choice for more families. Amy will be joined by the team from Breastival Belfast, a parent volunteer-led festival working to support and normalise breastfeeding in NI.
